Jamin Laney studied Modern Literature at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He applied to the writing program, and was accepted into the department through Kresge College. After two years of study, he was granted a Bachelors degree in Modern Literature with an emphasis on Creative Writing. Jamin worked in construction for a number of years before deciding to return to his educational path. He attended Argosy University in the San Francisco Bay Area where he received his Masters degree in education with a Single Subject Teaching Credential in English.
